Take an amount of mortars up with a trowel and point the trowel downward. Mortars with proper viscosity will stick to the trowel and fall down when the trowel is shaken. If mortar contents contain too much water they will not stick to the trowel but drop down instead. When installed, these mortars will shrink and rapture once dry. Application of mortars content with inadequate amount of water will also cause cracking and uneven surface.
